Kubota T / GR / ZG fuel supply hose clamp positioning safety campaign

Kubota · Published

Kubota voluntary recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The fuel supply hose clamp may have been incorrectly positioned on the hose at the fuel-tank side of the filter on certain T-series, GR-series, and ZG-series models. Fuel could leak out and potentially cause a fire if not corrected. Free dealer inspection and repair. This bulletin attaches to the ZG327P-60 and ZG227-54 zero-turn rows in the library that match the campaign scope.

Details

## Affected machines The Kubota fuel supply hose clamp safety campaign covers a number of T-series rear-engine ride-on mowers, GR-series ride-on mowers, and ZG-series zero-turn mowers. This bulletin covers the **ZG zero-turn portion** that intersects with the TractorNuity library. ### Affected ZG zero-turn models with serial-number ranges (from Kubota safety notice) | Model | Begin SN | End SN | |---|---|---| | ZG222A-48 | 50002 | 51392 | | ZG222A-48S | 50005 | 51388 | | ZG227-54 | 20369 | 21040 | | ZG227A-54 | 50001 | 50363 | | ZG227L-60 | 10543 | 11669 | | ZG327P-60 | 31160 | 31549 | | ZG327PA-60 | 50004 | 50165 | | ZG327RP-60R | 10089 | 10216 | | ZG327RPA-60R | A0001 | A0038 | The full campaign also covers T1880A-42, T2080A-42, T2380A-48, GR2010GA-48, GR2010GAB-48, GR2020G-48, and GR2020GB48 — these are not zero-turn mowers and are out of scope for this bulletin. ## Issue The fuel supply hose clamp may have been **incorrectly positioned** on the hose at the fuel-tank side of the filter during manufacturing. An incorrectly positioned clamp can allow the hose to slip or develop a slow leak under fuel pressure. Fuel leaking near the engine creates a fire hazard. Per Kubota: "Fuel could leak out and potentially cause a fire if not corrected immediately." ## What to do 1. Check your mower's model and serial number against the table above. 2. If your mower is in the campaign scope, **stop using it** until the inspection is complete. 3. Contact your authorized Kubota dealer for an appointment to have the mower inspected and repaired as necessary at no charge. ## Hazard Severity is rated **high** because of the fire risk. Specific incident counts and injury reports are not published in the Kubota safety notice, but the campaign was issued in cooperation with the CPSC. ## Source - Kubota Safety Notices page, "T/GR/ZG Notice — T/GR/ZG Series Fuel Hose Clamp." - Note: A formal CPSC recall number is not cited in the Kubota notice for this entry, suggesting this is a manufacturer-issued safety campaign with voluntary CPSC coordination. ## Library notes This bulletin attaches to **ZG227-54** (added in this migration as a sibling of ZG227-60) and **ZG327P-60** (existing library row). The other ZG variants in the campaign scope (ZG222A-48, ZG222A-48S, ZG227A-54, ZG227L-60, ZG327PA-60, ZG327RP-60R, ZG327RPA-60R) are older Kubota commercial zero-turn variants that are not currently in the library. Per the standing rule's 2005+ cutoff, these would be candidates for future addition if research indicates they were produced 2005 or later — they appear to be older generations that pre-date the current ZG200/ZG300 series naming, so they are deferred pending confirmation of production years. The T-series and GR-series models in the broader campaign are not zero-turn mowers and fall under different equipment categories, so they are not attached here even though they share the same root cause.

Affected equipment

  • Kubota ZG227-54 (ZG200 Series)
  • Kubota ZG327P-60 (ZG300 Series)
