## Affected machines About **4,300** 2011 Cub Cadet zero-turn riding lawn mowers, intended for both residential and commercial use. The mowers have **yellow and black steel frames**. The model number, serial number, and date of manufacture are printed on a label located **under the front of the driver's seat**. ### Affected models and serial-number range | Model | Factory Model Number | |---|---| | Cub Cadet Z Force 48 | 17BF3AGV010 | | Cub Cadet Z Force 54 | 17BF3AGX010 | | Cub Cadet Z-Force-S 46 | 17AF5BHH010 | | Cub Cadet Z-Force-S 48 | 17AF5BHB010 | | Cub Cadet Z-Force-S 54 | 17AF5GHC010 | | Cub Cadet Z-Force-S 60 | 17AF5GHD010 | | Cub Cadet Z-Force Commercial 48 | 53AH5FJB050 | | Cub Cadet Z-Force Commercial 60 | 53AH5FJD050 | | Cub Cadet Tank L48 | 53AH8CTB050 | | Cub Cadet Tank L60 | 53AH8CTD050 | **Serial-number range**: 1A101ZXXXXX (DOM 01/2011) through 1C091ZXXXXX (DOM 03/2011). Only mowers manufactured **January through March 2011** are in scope. ## Issue A **fuel leak can occur near the rear mounting screws on the bottom of the fuel tank**. Fuel leaking near a hot engine creates a fire hazard. This is distinct from the related CPSC 13-733 recall on overlapping Cub Cadet SKUs — that one involves the **vent valve grommet on top of the tank**, not the rear mounting screws on the bottom. Owners of Tank L48 / Tank L60 mowers should check both bulletins. Reported field incidents at time of recall: - 0 incidents - 0 injuries The recall was a **proactive defect notification** rather than a response to in-field failures. ## What to do 1. Check your model and serial number against the table above. Both are on a label under the front of the driver's seat. 2. If your mower is in scope, **stop using it immediately** and store it outside (per CPSC guidance — outdoor storage reduces fire risk to structures while awaiting repair). 3. Contact your local Cub Cadet dealer to schedule a free repair, or call Cub Cadet at (888) 848-6038 Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET. 4.
