## Affected machines
This bulletin covers the **Mahindra-branded portion** of CPSC recall #22-152 (June 9, 2022). The Intimidator-branded portion is covered separately in **TNB02600085** — same defect family, sister bulletin.
Mahindra UTVs are **private-labeled by Intimidator LLC** in Batesville, Arkansas, and distributed in the US by Mahindra USA. The Mahindra-branded UTVs share the underlying chassis, drivetrain, and throttle cable design with their Intimidator-branded counterparts; the Mahindra-branded portion of the recall reflects this shared lineage.
The UTVs were sold in a variety of colors. **"Mahindra"** is displayed on the front grill, and the model series is printed on the rear-side panels. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is on a label inside the **glove box**, inside the **hood compartment**, and **below the driver's seat**.

Note: The Mahindra UTV branding evolved during this period — the earlier units (2015-2017) were branded **mPact XTV**, and the later units (2018+) were rebranded **Retriever**. Both branding eras are covered by this recall.
### Affected serial range

## Issue
Same defect as TNB02600085 — see that bulletin for full hazard discussion. In summary: the **throttle cable can freeze at low ambient temperatures**, resulting in a **stuck throttle** which can cause the **brakes to fail to stop the vehicle**, posing a crash hazard.
The Mahindra UTVs covered by this bulletin **do not include** the GC1K-equivalent — Mahindra-branded UTVs at the time of this recall did not include a corresponding GC1K-class vehicle, so the second hazard from CPSC #22-152 (MY2022 GC1K speed limiter software defect) does not apply to Mahindra UTVs.
### Reported field incidents at recall time
The 393 throttle freeze reports and 4 crash reports in the original CPSC notice reflect **combined Intimidator + Mahindra** field data — CPSC did not break out the brand-level breakdown.
