This bulletin covers two Echo 2-cycle gas-powered backpack blowers.

- **PB-251**
- **PB-265L**
The 25.4cc blowers are orange and black with "ECHO" printed on the pull starter housing and blower tube. Model numbers are on a label near the pull starter handle. Serial numbers are on a label near the gas filler cap.
Sold at Home Depot and authorized Echo dealers from **August 2011 through January 2012** for about $270.
## Issue
The fuel line on the recalled blowers can leak fuel, posing a fire hazard.
## What to do
1. Identify the unit by model number on the label near the pull starter handle.
2. **Stop using the backpack blower immediately.**
3. Return it to an authorized Echo servicing dealer for free repair.
4. Contact Echo at 800-432-3246 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit https://www.echo-usa.com.
## Hazard
Severity is rated **critical** because of the fire risk from a leaking fuel line on a hot 2-cycle engine.
