Polaris recall of MY2020-2022 RZR XP Turbo and Turbo S ROVs where the primary (drive) clutch can fail, causing fragments to be ejected from the vehicle. 206 reports of clutch failures, including 6 fires, 2 injuries, and 1 vehicle tip-over.

This bulletin covers Polaris RZR XP Turbo and Turbo S recreational off-road vehicles.
### Affected models and model years
The recalled vehicles were sold in two-seat and four-seat configurations.
POLARIS is stamped on the front grille. POLARIS and RZR are printed on the sides. The model name is also printed on the side of the chassis. The VIN is located on the vehicle's frame in the left rear wheel well.
Sold at Polaris dealers nationwide from **December 2019 through September 2022** for between $21,000 and $32,000.
## Issue
The **primary (drive) clutch can fail** during operation. Clutch failure can cause **fragments to be ejected from the vehicle**, posing fire and injury hazards.
Reported field incidents at time of recall:
- 206 reports of clutch failures
- 6 fires
- 2 injuries
- 1 vehicle tip-over
## What to do
1. Identify the model and VIN.
2. **Stop using the ROV immediately.**
3. Contact Polaris or an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair (primary clutch replacement).
4. Polaris is notifying all dealers and registered owners directly.
## Hazard
Severity is rated **critical** because:
- 206 incidents - a substantial real-world failure rate
- 6 confirmed fires
- 2 confirmed injuries plus 1 tip-over (rollover)
- Ejected clutch fragments at engine RPM are a high-energy projectile hazard
