CPSC Recall number 25-321 (June 5, 2025), an expansion covering approximately 352,000 units across prior recalls. HAZARD: The accelerator pedal spring can fail to return to idle when a consumer stops pressing the accelerator pedal, posing a crash hazard. AFFECTED: Model year 2017-2024 Yamaha Drive2 Gas and Electric golf car vehicles (this recall expansion also covers MY2016 Drive Gas/Electric, MY2016-2018 Adventurer, and MY2019-2024 UMAX, which are separate models). Yamaha dealers can perform mobile service or arrange transport. INCIDENTS: Yamaha received at least 2,200 reports of accelerator pedal return spring failures. No injuries reported at time of recall.
